We present an original way of putting shelves in the papered walls.

Shelf-shaped folded paper
This is a sensational idea to narrow walls and create small rooms: this idea is how to create shelves with a very original touch. These decorative and functional details are created from the same wallpaper with that papered walls of the room in question.

Steps for a shelf-shaped folded paper
To make these new shelves of folded paper shape, we need at least a full strip of wallpaper. Depending on the width we want to give this shelf, use the full-or split strip in half lengthwise, depending on the pattern or design allowed.

Such bases are forms of U with tabs for attaching to the wall with screws, ensuring a well firm and sturdy support. If we do not get these supports (see image), we can use many objects. For example, plastic tubes or containers of adhesive paper, polarized paper or any object of acrylic, PVC, plastic or hardwoods.

After papering the wall , proceed to secure the shelves in the desired location, for it is securely locked. For neatness, we can begin by each form inside lining with the same wallpaper, or with a contrasting.

Already you fix the shelves , proceed to place the new strip wallpaper. In addition to carefully fix the wall, respecting the existing design (matching it to have continued the drawing), we will cover the outline of the shelf, copying its shape.

Then allow them to dry thoroughly , making sure there are no wrinkles or air bubbles that appear, our shelves are ready to be used. The effect achieved is a kind of folding of the wall itself, on which we can look our memorabilia or even save paper, according to the design of the rack base in place.

We can also make the same proposal on a painted wall. In this case, we will try to make it flashy paint or the wall sector will be visible in the interior spaces of the rack, and then post the wall paper in the conventional manner.

This technique can be used to cover shelves conventional, taking care to coat each piece well both on its upper side, and the bottom and on the sides, so that it is well integrated into the wall. However, the rounded shapes and striking fold better complement this image, enhancing the overall look of the original decoration and unconventional way.
